Jackie Hagan has recently graduated from the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester, where she received a first-class degree with honours in Applied Arts. Her studio work has led her to experiment with a variety of materials and innovative techniques, such as the casting of ceramics in sand.
She is a keen photographer, and in 2008 won the 'Your River' photography competition. Her atmospheric shots of Rochester are exhibited and for sale at Nucleus Medway, Dickens World, Chatham, and the New Art Centre, Chatham. Inspired by the work of photographers such as Paul Reas and Martin Parr, she is currently working on a project to document 'British Cafe Culture'.
