Advanced software tools now allow digital photographers to manipulate images beyond the limits of a single camera shot - we can stitch, stack, and blend images, correct their geometric and photometric distortions to produce stunning perspectives. While conventional panoramas tend towards cylindric or equirectangular vistas, this set of images focuses on stereographic projections - also known as 'little planets' - created by mapping a flat image onto a sphere. The results are invariably surreal, particularly when enhanced using high dynamic ranges techniques.
